Toshiba announces new 10.1 Dual Core Tablet
Toshiba has officially announced a new dual core Tegra 2 powered Regza Tablet AT300. This Toshiba Tablet features a 10.1-inch 1280x800 display and running Android 3.0 Honeycomb, the tablet arrives in Japan in June with price of around $700 (US dollars). The Regza AT300 boasts 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, two cameras (5MP rear, 2MP front), an SD card slot, mini usb and usb ports and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Samsung fires back at Apple
Samsung has decided to fight back against Apple by suing them for copyright infringement in several countries. Samsung has said that the reason for the lawsuit is that Apple stole some technology dealing with power consumption in mobile handsets when mobile data is used.

Best Buy's Sunday iPad 2 promotion gets a failing grade
In May Best Buy said it would withold a number of iPads for this past Sunday's promotion but things did not go smoothly. A lot of customers were waiting when the stores opened on Sunday only to be told in a lot of cases there are no ipads in stock but they can pay $100 to preorder. Customers were very unhappy with the shortage of iPad 2 devices and experts in the tech industry wonder if the Motorola Xoom and other recent android tablets will benefit from this inventory shortage.

Sprint will release a green eco-friendly phone named Replenish

Skype for Android could expose Sensitive User Data to Rogue Apps
Skype for Android did not securely store sensitive user data on the user’s Android device, leaving the information accessible to any third-party app trying to harvest data, Justin Case, an amateur Android developer, wrote on the android police blog on April 15. The data included names, dates of birth, location information, account balances, phone numbers, email addresses, and biographic details, Case said. Skype said on its blog post that it is investigating the issue but acknowledged that users who install malicious third-party applications on Android phones could expose data locally stored on the phone by the mobile application.

Gigabyte to release Dual-boot Windows-Android Tablet this year
Taiwanese company Gigabyte Technology will come out with two Android tablets later this year, including one that can also run Windows, and a Windows 8 tablet next year. The Gigabyte tablets will enter an increasingly crowded tablet market, as makers from Apple to obscure white-box brands launch new models this year. The larger ones will run Google's Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) OS and the smaller ones will run the older Android 2.2 system. A different line of Gigabyte tablets, due in October, will be able to run either Windows 7 or Android, letting users choose when they start up the machine.

Acer Honeycomb Tablet Coming April 24 for $449.99
Acer will be releasing its first Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) tablet in the U.S. on April 24 at a price of $449.99. The Acer Iconia Tab A500 features a 10.1-inch screen, dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor and front- and rear-facing cameras. The Iconia Tab A500 will be available exclusively at Best Buy stores.

T-Mobile expands 4G HSPA+ to 10 markets
T-Mobile on Tuesday announced that its 4G HSPA+ network is now available in 10 new markets including Ames, Iowa; Anderson, Indiana; Battle Creek, Benton Harbor and Jackson, Michigan; Fort Collins-Loveland, Colorado; Lawrence and Manhattan, Kansas; Springfield, Illinois and Wichita Falls, Texas. T-Mobile also plans to double the speed of its 4G network to 42Mbps in Las Vegas, New York and Orlando, Chicago, Long Island, N.Y. and Northern New Jersey soon.
